Fish Report, May 2010

We have had a great start to the fishing season on the West Coast of Vancouver Island! In May our guests have seen a solid catch rates of 10 – 25lb Chinook. Guest CS caught our first Coho of the season weighing in at 5 lbs. Blake holds this May's record at Long Beach Charters with his 25 lbs Chinook caught on May 22, 2010.

The First Ucluelet Salmon Ladder Derby is underway! It is running through to the second weekend in September. Monthly prizes of $10,000 to be won as well as the top 50 fish will qualify for the fish off on the second weekend of September. Grand prizes of up to $40,000 to be awarded.
